Lunchtime Clubs

ICE Torbay run ‘ICE Club’ at lunchtime in a number of local primary schools.

They’ve proved very popular and are well received by both the children attending and school staff.

The clubs are free of charge, and we offer 30-40 mins of biblically themed activities such as craft; practical activities, video clips, reflection and group games. There are opportunities for children to work individually or as part of the group.

ICE Clubs tend to be geared towards children in Key Stage 1 and lower Key Stage 2 (5-9 year olds).

Children often attend for the full academic year. This allows a trusting relationship to be built alongside opportunities to explore a range of topics.

An example of a Biblical theme developed over a number of weeks, might be the fruit of the Spirit – love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Those attributes the Holy Spirit wants to develop in the lives of people who love and follow Jesus and qualities that allow children to learn more effectively in school and throughout their life.
