"We have really enjoyed having ICE visit our school regularly. Nick has worked with many students ranging from Year 1 to Year 6. The children have enthusiastically discussed 'big questions' which has fully supported our RWE curriculum. Nick always discusses planning before teaching the children allowing teachers to continue the learning with depth. Nick has also successfully run an ICE club which has allowed many different children to join together and share their passion for unpicking Bible stories."

"Thank you so much Hazel for coming into St Michaels to deliver ICE club to our KS1 children. You always bring with you such inspiring craft ideas that enhance both the bible stories and the christian messages that you impart. You have a lovely calming manner and the children really enjoy listening to your stories and readings. I constantly have a queue of children wanting to come to ICE club! It has also been so lovely to be able to offer this lunch time club for children who struggle sometimes in the playground, I am thinking especially of little Joshua* (*name changed), who finds it difficult to join in with the boisterous games of his peers. He asks me all week if it is ICE club today and his face lights up when I say yes on a Tuesday. Thank you again Hazel"

"St Marychurch CofE Primary and Nursery School have been working with ICE Torbay for a number of years now. ICE Torbay offer various workshops, tailored to complement our RE curriculum, the various age groups and meet the bespoke requirements we may have in terms of session timings, in addition to that, we have accessed Open the Book; Lunch Clubs; Year 6 sessions on transition to secondary school. Nick and the team are absolutely fantastic! The sessions they have led are engaging and require active participation from the pupils. The children always enjoy the sessions and are enthusiastic when we tell them ICE are coming in to run another workshop. We look forward to continuing our working relationship with ICE Torbay".

"ICE Torbay have worked with us to support the delivery of some of the Christianity Units in our RE curriculum since June 2022. Our children have enjoyed the activities and discussion, and these have helped to develop their understanding of the beliefs of Christians."

"Working with ICE Torbay has significantly enriched our children’s experience when accessing the statutory Religious Education curriculum. The content is engaging and varied, and the activities provided allow for further discussion. The lunch club is always very popular and oversubscribed! The children love linking stories from the Bible with craft. The transition lessons for Year 6 also offer a wonderful safe space for the children to explore their feelings about moving on."

"With the launch of the Devon and Torbay RE Agreed Syllabus in 2019, input from ICE has enormously helped our children, teachers and school with the Christianity teaching aspect of the curriculum. The lessons are delivered with expertise and are always high quality, enabling progress and meaningful links in learning. We are very grateful to be able to build on our own knowledge with the team at ICE and look forward to welcoming them into our school in future".

"It has been an absolute pleasure to welcome ICE Torbay into Sherwell Valley Primary School since 2019. ICE started at the school running RE workshops including a 'friendship' session for Year 1. Nick then successfully ran a Year 1 lunchtime club up until the COVID pandemic in 2020. The Year 6 children have really enjoyed the summer Transition lessons in which they have considered the changes, choices and challenges they may face when moving up to secondary education. Since the launch of the new Devon and Torbay RE agreed syllabus in 2019, ICE have supported the delivery of the Christianity modules across most of the year groups within school. This has enabled the children to receive high quality teaching and for teachers to receive professional development with regards to Christianity. We are really looking forward to continuing our relationship with ICE into the future".

“ICE have fully supported Torre C of E Academy over the years and continue to do so. The team are friendly, flexible and supportive of the needs of our school. Hazel has delivered RE lessons across the school which are in line with the content of the RE agreed syllabus. She is able to adapt her teaching to suit and year group and the children benefit from her expertise. She has delivered a sequence of lessons to Year 6 in the summer term to help with their transition to secondary school. ICE have also provided lunchtime clubs which the children have enjoyed. Communication from Nick before, during and after the visits is excellent; he couldn’t be more helpful. We are grateful for the service that they provide, and we look forward to their next visit”.
